Pakistan Powering Education

The World Memon Organization (WMO) is a global umbrella organization for the Memon community, serving humanity through its seven chapters in Pakistan, Middle East, Far East, India, Europe, Africa and North America.

The World Memon Organisation, Pakistan Chapter has carried out Education and Rehabilitation programmes to uplift and empower the less fortunate families of the Pakistan Memon Community over the last decade. Since WMO considers Education to be the most powerful weapon in our armoury to change the world, therefore most of it’s activities are centred around providing quality education to underprivileged children.

The target set by the World Memon Organisation is that no Memon child should be deprived of an education by the year 2020.

Annually the budget for education works out to USD.2.1 million. We are awarding scholarships to more than 11000 students upto the Intermediate level, which itself is a record. And yet, the numbers keep increasing each year.

Apart from the above, we give bursaries to Memon students for acquiring higher and
professional education in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Finance and Business Administration. About 800 students are beneficiaries of this program.
